Brandon area YMCAs will host Corks and Forks 2010 on Saturday, November 20, at the Campo Family YMCA in Valrico. With live entertainment, good food and wine and plenty of live and silent auction items, this year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever.

Are you looking for a great way to have fun and help the community at the same time? The Brandon area YMCA’s Corks and Forks 2010, themed A Night of Magic, will be held on Saturday, November 20, from 7 – 10 p.m. poolside at the Campo Family YMCA, located at 3414 Culbreath Rd. in Valrico. Corks and Forks 2010 promises to be a magical night filled with delicious cuisine, live entertainment, live and silent auction, raffle and 50/50. For the sports enthusiast, don’t worry about missing the big game because sporting events will be televised poolside.
The event is 100 percent underwritten by sponsors and donors, so 100 percent of the proceeds will stay in the Brandon community and benefit Campo Family YMCA, Brandon YMCA and FishHawk Ranch YMCA. Proceeds will be used to give a child a chance to experience the magic of the YMCA.

Tickets to the event are available online, at the Campo YMCA or at the Brandon YMCA. For members, the cost is $50 and for non-members tickets are $75. Tickets include beer, wine, entertainment and good eats. Dress for the evening is casual.
Sponsorships from $250 are available, and all sponsors are invited to a VIP reception beginning at 6 p.m. The reception promises to be spectacular. Chef Dave West of the Rolling Pin will conduct an interactive cooking demonstration. Kelly Bock, Marketing Manager for the Rolling Pin said, “We are excited about the upcoming Corks and Forks fundraiser and are proud that we are able to support the YMCA and their VIPs with great food and a great time.”
Attendees to Corks and Forks 2010 can expect great entertainment provided by roaming magicians, stilt walkers and fire breathers as well as a DJ. More than 12 local food vendors will serve delectable tastes ranging from sushi to a nacho bar to a chocolate fountain. Beer and wine will also be served by several local vendors.
In addition to the entertainment and food, an array of auction items such as a Rays Bat Girl/Boy Experience for the 2011 season, vacation stays at beach homes and hot air balloon rides have been assembled by an amazing team of volunteers who have worked tirelessly since April to make this event spectacular. “We’re excited to get support from the local community, and we are looking forward to a magical event,” said volunteer Event Chair Charisse Pape.
