The 139,000-sq.-ft. Riverview Sam's Club, located at 10385 Big Bend Rd. in Riverview, near the intersection of U.S. Hwy. 301, is ready to serve its current and new members. The club anchors the existing Riverview Bell Plaza and is promising to benefit its associates, their families and community as a whole.

With a grand opening celebration scheduled for Thursday, March 10, the new Riverview Sam’s Club will open its doors to the public and will begin offering local business owners and families the exceptional values on products the store is well-known for.
The club brings several new features to its members, including a layout designed to make shopping faster and easier. 
“The design and expanded merchandise selection are being introduced this year to locations throughout the country to bring the Sam’s Club brand – Savings Made Simple – to life,” said Sam’s Club spokesperson Katie M. Johnston.
The 139,000-sq.-ft. facility is located at 10385 Big Bend Rd. in Riverview, near the intersection of U.S. Hwy. 301. The club will anchor the existing Riverview Bell Plaza.
Following the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony at 8 a.m., the club doors will officially open the public at 8:30 a.m.
In recognition of the grand opening, $15,000 in grants will be distributed to several area organizations, while Sam’s Club will also present a special $20,000 grant from the Wal-Mart Foundation to the Hispanic Business Initiative Fund of Florida.
Excited to add Sam’s Club to the mix of area businesses local readers spoke highly of the new store.
“I am excited to welcome Sam’s Club as part of the greater Riverview community,” said Representative Rachel Burgin. “District 56 will benefit economically by the jobs created by the new Sam’s Club location’s arrival.”
Hillsborough County Chairman Al Higginbotham agreed with Burgin when he said, “I am excited to welcome another Sam’s Club to eastern Hillsborough County. The jobs created by this new location will benefit the associates, their families and our community as a whole.”
The club features a wide variety of merchandise, which, according to club manager Tracy Snelgrove, reflects the growing diversity among warehouse club shoppers.
“More and more people turn to Sam’s Club to help save money in this tight economy,” Snelgrove said.  “Small business owners, families and even college students are finding that their money goes further at Sam’s Club.”
Snelgrove explained that constructed with environmentally friendly materials and energy-efficient fixtures, the club offers a pharmacy featuring $4 and $10 generic prescriptions as well as great deals on branded prescriptions, an optical department, hearing center and a digital photo center.
In addition to fresh produce, frozen foods, wine and refrigerated beer, the club offers freshly baked breads and pastries and a deli department with rotisserie chicken, ribs and freshly prepared meals, she said.
Riverview residents can now also fill up their fuel tanks at the new, 12-pump Sam’s Club fuel station, offering gasoline and diesel fuel.
A Home Efficiency aisle focuses on merchandise members can use to decrease their home and business energy usage such as CFL light bulbs, LED light fixtures, Energy Star air conditioning units and small kitchen appliances.
“We offer the office supplies, food and cleaning items that Sam’s Club members have come to expect,” Snelgrove said. “We also offer the latest technology for home and office, designer handbags and high-quality jewelry.”
As an incentive to become a member through the month of March, those that sign up for a regular membership, will receive a $20 gift card. If you sign up for a Plus membership, you receive a $50 gift card.
It is safe to say that the Riverview Sam’s Club is ready to please its current and new members, confident of its new store location’s success.
