Way of Life Community Church Invites You To A Bucs Game
Way of Life Church is inviting everyone to join them for a day of family and football to help kick off the 2011 NFL Season. Join the crew as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the Detroit Lions on Sunday, September 11 at 1 p.m.
The Buccaneers will be offering all members, family, and friends associated with Way of Life Community Church, a half-price ticket to come out to the game. A portion of all ticket proceeds will be donated back to the church. To reserve your seats, call (813) 546-4362.
Baseball Tryouts At First Baptist Brandon
First Baptist Brandon will be holding tryouts for the 12U Bullets upcoming fall season. Tryouts are for children who will not be turning 13 before May 1. Tryouts will be held at the ballfields in Dover off of 574 and Gallagher on Wednesday-Friday, Aug.17-19 from 6:00-8:30p.m.. Plan on attending all three days. Free Luncheon For Caregivers
Hand to Hope, a local non-profit organization that helps caregivers, is sponsoring The Caregivers Symposium on Tuesday, August 9 at Sun City Center United Methodist Church. The annual Caregivers Symposium provides free lunch to caregivers with seminars throughout the day talking about specific details surrounding caregiving.

The Homeschool Resource Center Back to School Bash
The Tampa Bay Home Education Activities Teams (HEAT), a home school support group, is hosting a Back to School Bash at the Homeschool Resource Center (HRC). This free event is open to the public and is for current and potential homeschool families. Information will include support groups, how to get started homeschooling, 2011-2012 class offerings and information on fencing, dance, shuffleboard, music, art, drama, chess and sports programs.
The HRC is located at 307 S. Parsons Ave. in Brandon and is a ministry of The Tampa Bay HEAT, a non-profit organization The HRC has meeting rooms, a computer lab, a used book store (homeschool curriculum, educational, family friendly). funded through donations .

27th Annual Good Samaritan Ball Theme for 2012 is Announced
A new and exciting experience awaits as Darlene and Larry Meadows have again so graciously accepted the honor to co-chair the upcoming year’s spectacular event.
“Colors of our Hearts” is the theme for the 2012 Good Samaritan Ball scheduled for Friday, March 30, 2012, at the Kings Point Borini Theater. This annual black tie event will be a “Ball to Remember” for an estimated 400 residents and their guests.
The Good Samaritan Ball is a fundraiser for Samaritan Services, Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides free services including transportation to doctor appointments as well as local transportation for trips to the grocery, pharmacy, doctors and other locations for people who are no longer able to drive themselves.
Businesses, organizations and groups may reserve a table for eight for $1,000.00 per table with a $100.00 deposit.

Brandon Christian Women’s Connection
Brandon Christian Women’s Connection (BCWC) new season of monthly luncheons will be on the second Monday of each month starting Monday, September 12 at Bell Shoals Special Events Center located at 2102 Bell Shoals Rd in Brandon from 11a.m.-1.00 p.m. This is a non denominational group and all ladies are welcome, there is no membership required. Local Pastor Publishes Book
Valrico resident, Pastor Paul Miles moved to Florida in 1989 to pursue a career with a large orange juice manufacture. During this time he received a call from God to become a pastor. After studying with the Pentecostal church, he was ordained in 1994. In 2005, Miles answered his call from God to write a Christian fiction book, and in 2009 the story was completed.
Salvation’s Last Call is an adventure novel set in the mid 19th century, and follows the main character that is in search of Noah’s Ark. The story is written from the first person and transports the reader through an amazing journey with encouraging messages. True to the Bible, this book could be used in small study groups or Sunday School.
Local Knights Of Columbus Council Offers Sweet Treats To Support Camp Able
“It happens once every year”, stated John Cirello, Past Grand Knight of K of C Council 14084 of Valrico. “For a couple of days, we just stand around in front of stores in local shopping malls, giving people free Tootsie Rolls. We don’t ask for donations, we let the yellow cans in our hands do that. The outpouring of generosity is amazing and heart warming”.
Camp Able is a Christian camp for children with special needs, located in Manatee County. Cirello presented a check for $947 to Rev. Kyle Bennett, head of the camp and Pastor of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.
The Knights of Columbus is an international Catholic family fraternal service organization.
