Quality coffee and an assortment of salads, wraps, Paninis and breakfast menu options return to FishHawk after DaSilva’s closing. Enhanced with a European style ambiance through its décor and with its direction, Coffee House opened recently building off of the proven roasted DaSilva’s coffee and menu.
“We kept the DaSilva’s menu because the people love it,” explained owner Tony Zhukovskiy. Located at 15282 FishHawk Blvd. both Tony and his wife Ella know the value of being able to count on what works to build Ella’s lifelong dream of owning a coffee shop.
Grounded on a solid foundation of great tasting coffee with options from iced lattes to blended shivers and a delicious variety of breakfast, lunch and dessert options, Coffee House differs with the influence of a European décor reminiscent of coffee shops across the Atlantic. Russian natives, Tony explained, “Because we are from Europe we like this style of minimalism and modern.”
The photographic art, the high tables with a thick width and the assorted couch-like chairs and plastic seats that offer a slight rock for comfort are among some of the European influences that can be seen at Coffee Shop. Tony’s favorite detail is the warmed coffee mugs kept heated on top of the cash register ready for serving that Tony said are not popular, yet he assured. “But I think when people try it, they won’t use the paper cup,” he said.
Open just a month, many within the community are traveling to FishHawk just to enjoy the taste and environment. Dyllyn Giles and Gina Curcio of Brandon have made the drive three times already because as Giles put it about one of the employees, “Jaryd Davis is a coffee boss.” For Curcio it is the “positive atmosphere, its really chill,” she said and the “workers are upbeat and friendly.”
Lithia resident Scott Haggins was sold after having a chai tea latte. “It’s so good,” he exclaimed.
Coffee House is aiming to recruit 3,000 Facebook followers within a year. So far with just a month open it is setting a good pace with around 500 followers. Tony plans on being active with Facebook, offering in store customers a free coffee simply by liking Coffee House through the computer that sits at the cash register.
Coffee House will also extend its hours come September once it adds wine and beer beverages to its list of menu options. Currently the store is open Monday-Saturday 5:30 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday 8 a.m.-2p.m.
The Zhukovskiys live in Riverhills and aside from the Coffee Shop also own Learning Center of FishHawk in the same plaza.
