Senator Ronda Storms, R-District 10, will host her annual Christmas cookie exchange on Friday, December 16, at 11:30 a.m. at All Person’s Rotary Park.

It’s fitting to ring in the Christmas Season with a home-town gathering cookie exchange. This year marks Senator Ronda Storms (R-District 10) sixth annual gathering with her constituents to share, fellowship and of course, to eat Christmas cookies.
Senator Storms’ office encourages people in the community to take this opportunity to meet and talk with their Senator and learn more about certain bills or to express their ideas about the recent legislative session.
The highlight, of course, of the annual gathering is the exchange of cookies. Each guest is asked to bring one dozen cookies to share and one dozen cookies to exchange.

The hosting comes easily to Storms, as she has said about past cookie exchange events, “It’s an opportunity in a relaxed setting to share a little fellowship.” A devout Christian, Storms embraces the opportunity to share, care  and listen to people in her community.

The annual holiday cookie exchange will be held on Friday, December 16, at 11:30 a.m. at All Person’s Rotary Park, located at 800 S. Parsons Ave., in Brandon. Children are welcome to attend. The playground at the park is perfect for the children to play.
As for the cookies, you can expect the senator to make, in the past Storms and her children have brought peppermint cookies and fudge. Normally, there are anywhere between 15 and 30 guests attending this event, so there is sure to be plenty of different kinds of Christmas cookies to suit everyone’s sweet tooth.

Storms has been a Florida state Senator since 2006, prior to that she was a member of the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners from 1998-2006.

If you will be attending, please RSVP by Wednesday, December 14 to Storms’ legislative assistant, Hannah Hodge at 651-2189 or Hodge.hannah.s10@flsenate.gov.
