A late Sunday night fire destroyed this mobile home at in Gibsonton. Firefighters also found one person dead inside the home.
Update: Preliminary information in the investigation is the that the fire is not suspicious in nature and foul play is not suspected in the death investigation, deputies said.
Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office along with the Hillsborough County Fire Department responded to a mobile home fire at 7007 Illinois Ave. in Gibsonton, Sunday night.
Once the fire was extinguished, firefighters discovered one person deceased inside the mobile home, deputies said.
Currently there is an active death investigation that will include the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, State Fire Marshalls Office and the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Investigators worked throughout the night to determine the cause of fire, the cause of death and the identity of the deceased person discovered inside the home.
