While Kelly’s primary role now is taking care of her son, Marc Rockquemore, her husband, is CEO. Rockquemore started his career as a stock broker, when the idea of New Identities came into the picture; he jumped at the chance.
Opening the first location in New Tampa almost 12 years ago, New Identities has achieved great recognition. Featured on Salon Today’s Top 200 in 2011 and 2012 is among the most notable now. The salon has also been featured on Ambush Makeover, NFL Channel’s ‘Making the Squad’, and American Salon Magazine. Maintaining its status at the official hair salon of the Buccaneer Cheerleader’s and Tampa Bay’s Fashion Week are among Rockquemore’s favorite accolades.
“We are proud to give back more than probably any other salon in the area,” boasted Rockquemore. “We get involved in a number of local charities supporting pediatric cancer, working with the Alpha House, and Heart Gallery of Tampa Bay among others.”

New Identities stylists go through an eight month training program after their schooling. The company’s two locations are still growing despite the economic situation. “We couldn’t have opened the South Shore (Riverview) location at a worse time, but we are still growing that store,” stated Rockquemore.
