Lucky Day Emporium, located on the corner of Bloomingdale and Lithia, recently added 500 sq. feet of vintage goods to its repertoire.
Situated in the corner of an L-shaped plaza on the corner of Bloomingdale Ave. and Lithia Pinecrest Rd. sits an emporium of antiques.
Quite literally, Lucky Day Emporium recently expanded, adding 500 sq. feet of vintage and retro keepsakes. The expansion was made possible when storage space used for Consign Designs opened up. The ladies tore down a wall and connected the two spaces seamlessly.
“It’s very open and airy,” said co-owner Brenda Martin. “Thanks to the expansion there are now more items and styles to choose from.” Inside the 1,400 sq. foot, newly renovated and expanded jam-packed emporium are affordable vintage finds and antiques.
Ginger Waring, co-owner, said the difference between antiquing and buying something new is, “You are buying something with history to it from bygone eras. We are re-inventing old. Things can be refreshed and brought back to life for the next generation.”
Along with the new expansion, Lucky Day has added several new dealers, each with an individual “vintage” style.
Lucky Day Emporium first opened in December 2010 at 3322-8 Lithia Pinecrest Rd. in Valrico. “We chose the area because it is a great location, between FishHawk and Brandon,” said Warning.
Brenda and Ginger are fifth generation Floridians. The sisters were born in the Lakeland/Mulberry area and later moved to Brandon where they both attended Brandon High School.
Brenda, Ginger and the vendors currently run the store.
