Park Square businesses want to help make Easter extra special for area families and are hosting a special event in FishHawk’s Park Square on Saturday, April 7, 12 Noon-3 p.m.
The fun-filled afternoon will feature an egg hunt, face painting and free egg dying for those who bring their own hard boiled eggs, plus there will be an appearance by the Easter Bunny.
Free raffle tickets will be given out at participating merchants and the winner will receive a basket filled with gift certificates and other goodies from most of the park square merchants valued at $500.
The egg hunt starts at 12 Noon, so don’t be late. The raffle drawing will be at 3 p.m.
Bonnie Karet, owner of Art Monkey, said this is just one of the many events that Park Square holds throughout the year, like the Summer Music Series and Farmer’s Market on the first Sunday of the month. “Park Square is always vibrant and active, with children playing in the fountains and parents enjoying a glass of wine, sushi or pizza at one of the Park Square restaurants,” she said.
She added that everyone is invited, both FishHawk residents and those from other neighborhoods. “Many folks in the surrounding areas are not aware of what a wonderful oasis of good food and good fun is so close by. Park Square is open to everyone, regardless of where they reside,” she said.
In addition to Art Monkey, Park Square is home to Park Square Cellar, the newly opened Bonsai Sushi, Elijah Heath Edward Jones, YMCA Express, Julestarz Academy for the Performing Arts, Ambiance Salon and Day Spa and many others.
