The fabulous crew of Plant City Entertainment, Inc. has designed a set fitting for Broadway. You will be entertained as the cast sings and dances their way into your heart as they perform some of the most popular Broadway songs in their upcoming production of “The Best of Broadway.”
The next Plant City Entertainment, Inc. production will be a review of the some of the most popular songs from some of the most popular Broadway musicals. Plant City Entertainment, Inc. will present “The Best of Broadway” over two weekends beginning Friday, July 20 and closing on Sunday, July 28. Friday and Saturday performances will be held at 8 p.m., and Sunday performances will be held at a 2 p.m. matinee.
This fabulous show will feature talented actors singing and acting out each of the songs from a variety of Broadway musicals. When you come to the theatre, you will be transported to the “Great White Way” and be immersed in the excitement of Broadway’s greatest hits. You will enjoy songs such “Memories” from Cats, and “If I Were a Rich Man” from Fiddler on the Roof.
Domin Pazo is the Director for this show. Pazo said, “This show is for people who love musical theatre where you can enjoy your favorite songs.” Pazo added, “It is also a great show for those who are not familiar with musical theatre because they will hear songs from Broadway that they have heard on television shows or in commercials. We want to show everyone just how great musical theatre is.”
First time Assistant Director, Ryne Faurote said, “I am having a blast with this show. With a musical such as this one, you get a taste of lots of songs. It is a great variety show.”
This is a family friendly show that will have something for everyone. The show is two hours and 15 minutes with a short intermission.
Plant City Entertainment, Inc. held its first stage production in 1980. It became incorporated in 1994 and became a non-profit shortly thereafter. Plant City Entertainment, Inc. is now self-supporting. It is an institution in the community and a training ground for many who have gone onto professional acting careers.
All performance are held at the Plant City Entertainment, Inc. theatre located at 101 N. Thomas St. in Plant City. Tickets for members or group advance sales ar $10.00 and are available at Hardee’s Fashions located at 1501 N. Wheeler St., in Plant City. Tickets at the door are $12 for Senior Citizens and students through the 12 grade. General Admission Tickets for non-members is $14.
