It’s hard for some of us to imagine a church so great that even our children jump out of bed on Sunday mornings to attend, but that’s just the kind of response that Access Church of Lakeland gets. Lead Pastor Jason Burns says “We want you to love church. We created the kind of church I wanted to attend growing up.” Besides being super kid-friendly, Access offers passionate worship services and engaging messages from which people are able to practically apply truth to their everyday lives.

Access is gearing up for the grand opening of its Brandon campus on January 13 at 10:30 a.m. in the Bloomingdale High School auditorium. Access has been holding preview services in the auditorium to show the community what they are all about – the final preview service is Sunday, December  2 at 6 p.m. There is also a free ‘Grill & Chill’ at Paul Sanders Park on Sunday, December 9 at 4 p.m.

Access started as a college Bible study in Burns’ living room in 2007. “I didn’t intend for it to be a church,” said Burns, who graduated from Southeastern University with a degree in Pastoral Ministry and earned a Masters in Church Leadership. Yet four years later, more than 1,000 people call Access Church their home church, and anywhere from 400 to 600 people can be seen on any given Sunday morning at the Lakeland campus.

If you’ve ever felt that church is too overwhelming because of the amount of ministries it offers, Access may be the place for you. They offer four basic things: weekend worship services, four-week leadership development studies to help people discover their ‘sweet spots’ in life, access groups and community service.

Contemporary in style and music, Access Church may be the community that you need to learn about and grow in Jesus Christ. For more information visit access.tv online, email hello@access.tv or call 863-688-8100. You can also email the Brandon campus pastor directly at ryan@access.tv.
