One of the best things about Christmas is selecting the perfect tree with the whole family. This tradition is loved by the Chaberek family of Valrico, and the reason why they started the Chaberek Family Christmas Tree lot several years ago. The lot is located on Newsome High School property in Lithia.
Ted and Darlene Chaberek, owners of Tents & Stuff, a rental company that has been in business in the Brandon area since 2002, not only want to start a tradition, but they also wanted to help give back to the community. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the trees will be donated to Newsome along with several trees. “We love the FishHawk area. Our heart is in FishHawk, and we want to support Newsome,” said Darlene.
Tents & Stuff started out in a 200 square foot space in 2002. Today, it occupies over 2,000 sq. ft. of space. To date, Tents & Stuff has provided rentals to more than 1,200 weddings and 2,000 corporate events.
The Chabereks rent everything from tables and chairs to tents and dance floors for events such as weddings, retirement parties, baby showers, holiday parties, birthdays and more. The cost of the rentals for events range from $250 to $15,000. Rentals can be provided for events in Hillsborough, Pasco and Polk counties.
Trees at the Chaberek Family Christmas Tree lot will range from four feet to 12 feet tall and are the best of North Carolina’s Frasier Firs from Stover Ridge Nursery. Prices for the trees will range form $20 to $180. In addition to trees, you can find beautiful, fresh cut wreaths. Prices for the wreaths are reasonable with $20 for a 20 inch wreath and $25 for a 22 inch wreath.
The Chaberek Family Christmas Tree lot will be up and running beginning the Friday after Thanksgiving. They will be open Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 8 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
