“You’re not born a winner; You’re not born a loser; You’re born a chooser”.

These are important words shared by Sports World Inc., whose professional athletes share personal life experiences with students.

Bring your friends and family to Park Square in downtown FishHawk on Sunday, August 18 from 5-8 p.m. for an afternoon of entertainment and encouragement.

“Your Move – Decisions that Make a Difference, a community event sponsored by Fishhawk Fellowship Church, is open to everyone. It is especially aimed at reaching young people.

This event is aimed at addressing life issues pertinent to today’s students. Special guest speaker retired NFL Fullback Tim Lester, who spent eight years with the Pittsburgh Steelers, LA Rams and Dallas Cowboys, will share his story and message of hope. Lester said, “I share about both the bad choices and the good choices that I have made. By sharing those choices, I hope to motivate and inspire young students to make their own positive choices.” He will also speak about today’s music and how the music influences the way we think. Lester said that he has gone from the NFL to NFL (New Found Life) and this is his way to give back. The responses he receives from those he speaks to keeps him motivated to continue to spread the word.

National Christian musical artists, Bellarive, originally from Orlando, will open the event. They travel throughout the year leading for churches, colleges, missions groups, conferences, camps and concerts. They’ve just begun work on their first full-length album.

“We (Fishhawk Fellowship) hope this event will bring us together as a community to encourage our kids at the start of a new school year to make good decisions that will bring lifelong benefits,” said Pastor Matt Moore.

The local Park Square restaurants, Park Square Pizza, Park Square Cellar & Bistro and Bonsai Sushi will be open. If you are hungry, you are encouraged to support the local merchants.

FishHawk Fellowship Church enjoys a partnership Friedenskirche (Peace) Church in Stuttgart, Germany. This year, about nine youth and a few adults from that church will be visiting here, and will get to share in this community event.

There is no charge for this event. For more information on FishHawk Fellowship Church, visit http://www.fishhawkfc.org/ or call 655-7431.
