Al’s Tennis Shop, located at 6026 Winthrop Town Center Ave. in Riverview, is a family owned and operated business. The owner, Al Macasinag, is committed to providing his customers with the best possible personal service. Macasinag is an avid tennis player and was at one time a ranked player in Colorado. His passion and knowledge of the game are put into running his business.
While Al’s Tennis Shop is small in size, it is expansive in its selection of tennis and racquetball equipment, strings, shoes and apparel. Macasinag is an authorized dealer of Babolat, Wilson, Head and others. “I carry anything and everything related to tennis,” said Macasinag. He is also a dealer for Lobster Ball Machine.
In addition Macasinag is a member of the United States Racquet Stringers Association (USRSA) and is a certified stringer. This means that he has the experience, training and expertise to correctly string your racquet.
Macasinag said, “I ask a lot of questions so that I know what will be best for you.” He will pose questions about the type of racquet used, the surface you play on, how often you play and whether you have problems with your arm. All of this is asked so that he has the knowledge needed to give you the best product and service.
Moreover, because buying a racquet is an investment, Al’s Tennis Shop offers a demo program that allows you to get out and hit with the racquet so you can make sure it is the right one for you.
Macasinag has lived in the Brandon community for six years. He is committed to both his customers and the community in many ways. He and his family believe that businesses and individuals should give back to the community, and that is why Macasinag is coordinating a group of volunteers to work at Trinity Cafe located in Ybor City.
Al’s Tennis Shop recently celebrated its one year anniversary. Macasinag plans to continue to provide high quality product and service to his customers and the community,
