FishHawk Pinch-A-Penny has issued a call to all area “Eggheads” (those who love to cook on a grill) to come out to the 4th Annual Big Green Egg Fest on Sunday, March 16 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. This fun-filled event is hosted by the Rutledge family, Larry, Kathy and Jimmy, owners of the FishHawk Pinch-A-Penny located at 16715 FishHawk Blvd. in the Sweet Bay Plaza.

So you want to know what a Big Green Egg Fest is? According to Jimmy Rutledge, “It is an opportunity to celebrate the Big Green Egg with friends and family.” Attendees at the Egg Fest will get to feast on a variety of foods all cooked on the Big Green Egg. There will be local “Eggheads” who will be cooking their favorites, and if you have something you want cooked, just bring it over and see the wonders of the Big Green Egg.

The 4th Annual Big Green Egg Fest will be a great neighborhood festival. In addition to great food and camaraderie, there will be live entertainment, snow cones and face painting.

As part of what has become a tradition of the Big Green Egg Fest, the Rutledge family will be raffling off a new pool cleaner (valued at approximately $400). All proceeds raised at the festival, from the raffle as well as donations, will be given to Special Operations Warrior Foundation, a 501(c)( 3) non-profit that provides services such as scholarship programs, family services and financial assistance to wounded Special Operations Forces personnel.

This organization was chosen because of the many military families that reside in the FishHawk community. The Rutledge family truly believes in the importance of community. As such, they will match all that is raised and send all proceeds in the name of the FishHawk community. So come out and have fun, enjoy great food and help support a truly worthwhile organization.
