The firm recently brought on its new attorney, Michael Finegan, who practices personal injury. “Personal injury is my favorite area of law, but I find all aspects of the law fascinating,” Finegan said. “The nice thing about our office is that even though we specialize in personal injury, we run the whole gamut and handle family law matters and other related issues as well.”
Finegan grew up in New Jersey and attended the University of Delaware. After graduation, he moved to Tampa where he took a job working in finance. Practicing law was always in the back of his mind as something he wanted to pursue. “I always wanted to practice law and I knew it was something I should do and I planned to go back to at some point,” Finegan said. In 2010, he left his finance job and enrolled in Stetson University to obtain his law degree. He graduated in 2013. While he was in law school, he spent a summer clerking at Carman and Bevington and loved it. “We all connected and got along really well, so after graduation I came on board at the firm,” Finegan said.
Finegan and the firm are delighted to be a part of the Brandon community and its strives to build strong ties with the community. “It’s where we work and those community ties cannot be understated,” Finegan said. “The whole point of what we do is to help people and there is nothing more important than helping people who are right here in our own backyard.”
