MotionchurchLead Pastor of Motion Church, Aaron Lewis, followed up his Sunday sermon in February with the announcement that the church would be moving from its current meeting space at East Bay High School auditorium, to Kids Community College Southeast (KCC). The new location is at 11519 McMullen Rd. in Riverview and provides new opportunities for the growing church.

With a successful move to the new facility, the 120-member congregation, often referring to themselves as “Motionators,” is now enjoying their new home at KCC, which holds 200 people.

“The move helped us to align our financial position with Biblical principles,” said Lewis. “The money we save will be put back into the community. We can have a great community impact.”

The cost savings is estimated to be $44,000 annually.

There are many additional benefits to the move including meeting in a brand new facility with classrooms for children, simplified set-up and tear-down processes.

In addition, the cost savings is preparing the church financially for the future acquisition of its own building

“The smaller environment will encourage people to get connected with others more effectively,” said Lewis. “We are a church made up of primarily young families and KCC offers a great kid-friendly space with a fenced in playground. Our children’s ministry is now using classrooms that are designed for pre-k through elementary children. Parents can be confident and comfortable leaving their precious children in the care of our awesome volunteers.”

Some upcoming events that Motion Church is excited to share is its City-Wide Easter Egg Hunt on Friday, April 18 which includes eight “drop zones” planned throughout Brandon to Apollo Beach. There will be an abundance of candy and prizes.

Easter Services will take place on Sunday,  April 20 at 9:30 and 11:00 a.m.
