Spring is here and it’s time to refresh and renew. On Thursday, May 15 at 7 p.m. the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) Brandon Junior Woman’s Club (BJWC) will host ‘Springtime in Paris’ as part of its annual new member recruitment for 2014. The event will be held at the organization’s historic clubhouse located at 129 N. Moon Ave. in Brandon.
Women of all ages are invited to join the BJWC for a fun evening with appetizers, beverages and desserts. Following a short introduction by club President Vi Zonfrelli, membership co-chairs Evie Niemann and Debbie Endel will provide guests with an overview of the club’s purpose, committees and service projects.
“For nearly 60 years, the GFWC Brandon Junior Woman’s Club has been a vibrant member of our Brandon community offering a variety of opportunities for service-oriented ladies to volunteer and serve,” said Zonfrelli. “Plus, this is just a great group to be a part of, not only for the service opportunities, but also to meet new friends and have a lot of fun.”
Interested guests will be invited to complete a membership application and become a BJWC Provisional for 2014. New member induction will take place in late October following completion of a group service project.

The BJWC was founded in 1955 and is a non-profit service organization working to improve the community through volunteering time and financial resources through programs and charities in the Brandon area. For more information, visit GFWCBrandonJuniors.org.
