Kazbour’s Seafood Dive Restaurant & Bar offers a fresh, new dining option for residents of Apollo Beach and surrounding areas. The nautical-themed restaurant offers a comfortable atmosphere, full-service bar and indoor and outdoor seating.
The menu features a variety of items including traditional, and some not-so-traditional, appetizers like fried green beans and shrimp pizza, homemade soups, salads, sandwiches, rice bowls, pasta, “Dinners from the Sea,” plus a selection for landlubbers.
Seafood lovers can choose from fried or broiled combos, Alaskan wild salmon, Gulf Mahi-Mahi, lobster pasta, crab cakes and more.
The specialty creations are always a big hit. Items such as lobster ravioli and crab-stuffed flounder consistently are a sell-out.
Owner Kaz Kazbour commented that while other restaurants have not fared well at this location, he believes that he has the recipe for success.
“This is my creation and my baby right now,” he said, noting that he has more than 35 years of experience and is on-site most of the time. He can be seen in the kitchen, delivering food and visiting with customers to ensure they are having a positive experience.
Additionally, the well-trained staff is knowledgeable, friendly and attentive.
“Our experience was great,” said Ruskin resident Matt Sessoms. “We loved everything we ordered.”
His party enjoyed crab cakes, a scallop rice bowl, crab-stuffed flounder, coconut fried shrimp and Mississippi catfish.
Unlike other restaurants, Kazbour said that there are no coupons offered for this location, but there are regular weekly specials. On Tuesdays, Fish ‘N Chips are two-for-one and on Wednesdays, fried shrimp are buy one, get one free.
Previously located in Sun City, Kaz’s Seafood Dive recently moved to its current location in Apollo Beach. Kazbour said the move has been very beneficial putting the restaurant in a centralized location in the SouthShore area, offering 55 more seats and better parking.
“We see new customers every day,” said Kazbour, adding that most business is through word-of mouth.
Kaz’s Seafood Dive Restaurant & Bar is located at 6190 U.S. Hwy. 41 N. in Apollo Beach. Hours are Monday-Thursday 11 a.m.-10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 11 a.m.-11 p.m..
