Rich’s Backyard Birds Contest WinnerBC_RICHS

Rich’s Backyard Birds and the Osprey Observer recently held a contest to match up the names of all of the FishHawk neighborhoods with pictures of the birds they were named after.

Pinot’s Pallete is offering a painting class on Sunday, July 20 at 2 p.m. where customers can paint their very own pet portrait with the image taken right from a personal photo. A professional artist will be on hand to guide painters step by step through brush stroke and color choices to paint a canvas portrait of their favorite furry friend. Cost is $55 and pre-registration is required to attend this class as well as an e-mailed photo of the pet for the sketch. Deadline for registration is Thursday, July 10.

The Jacob Fowler Memorial Scholarship was founded in memory of Jacob Fowler, a former instructor at Bell Shoals Baptist Church that passed away.
