Calling all singers, dancers, comedians, contortionists, impressionists, jugglers, magicians and ventriloquists! NBC’s top-rated summer series is making its way to Tampa to hold auditions for season 10 of America’s Got Talent (AGT). The nation’s only talent search is open to all ages and all kinds of performers, individuals and group acts. This audition will be in front of the producers of AGT, and those that make it through to the next round will audition in front of the celebrity judges.
“In the past seasons we have always found some good talent in Florida. Not just singers, but dancers, musical groups, magicians, circus performers and other variety acts,” said America’s Got Talent Executive Producer Jason Raff. “As the only competition show open to any age and any talent, we have been quite pleased with the diversity we have found in Florida. It has been a few years since we have been in Tampa, and it was an easy choice to return.”
The upcoming auditions will be held on Sunday, November 2 at the Tampa Convention Center located at 333 S Franklin St.
Those interested in auditioning should pre-register at www.americasgot talentaudi tions.com.
Those auditioning can begin to line up starting at 6 a.m. and doors will open by 8 a.m. and usually close at about 7 p.m. Auditions are first come first serve and there will be a film crew there interviewing those that are auditioning, as well as filming crowd scenes. Auditioning should be considered an all day commitment.
Some tips from the producers of AGT are to “be original and fearless and stand out from the crowd.” They also encourage those trying out to “dress to impress,” and to come wearing an outfit they would want to wear on television.
Remember to bring a photo I.D. to this audition. Participants can also print out the forms needed on the AGT Website and have them ready when going to check in.
Each individual or group will be given up to 90 seconds to audition.
Those who try out will not find out at the audition if they made it to the next round, but those acts moving forward will be notified by the end of March.
