The Plaza Bella shopping center, located on Bloomingdale Ave., just east of Bell Shoals Rd., has a store for every need. This plaza features food and sweets, exercise and health, as well as pampering and shopping. What makes Plaza Bella special is that each business is owned or co-owned by women. This plaza, which recently just participated in their annual Plaza Bella Goes Pink walk for breast cancer, is a perfect representation of women in business.
Debbie Ploor has owned and operated Orange Home Accessories in Plaza Bella for eight years and has been in the Valrico area for 28 years. She is very involved in her community, and often has store fundraisers for her two charities, ECHO and A Kid’s Place.
The shop offers a wide range of unique products, including art and jewelry, all at affordable prices, assuring there’s something for everyone.

Salon Essence
Salon Essence has been open since December 1, 2006 and was the very first store to open in Plaza Bella. Owner Therisa Coughlin has owned Salon Essence for eight years, and has 16 years of experience owning a salon. She has lived in this community her entire life. Salon Essence has recently remodeled, and is now offering a Wacky Wednesday BOGO promotion. On Wednesday, new clients can get a haircut, and will receive a free haircut to use or to give to a friend.

Sweetie’s Delights Bakery
Sweetie’s Delights Bakery consists of Operating Manger Kathy and her hardworking team. Sweetie’s offers many different novelty cakes and takes custom cake orders all week. It bakes peanut butter and chocolate chip cups, cookies and the cupcakes are adorned with their signature icing Whippy Dip and is perfect for all occasions. Sweetie’s is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and is closed Sunday and Monday. The Shrimp Boat
The Shrimp Boat is open Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m.-11 p.m. and Sunday from 11:30 a.m.-9 p.m. Shrimp Boat is family owned by Al and Sharon Paone and has been open since 2004. In the kitchen you can find both Al and his son Al Jr. cooking and creating meals. Shrimp Boat offers lunch, dinner and drinks, and specifically on Saturday nights the Category 4 is available, which is a four course meal, perfect for a date night. Catering is available. The Green Boutique is owned by Rosalind (Roz) Creager and her husband Mark. They first opened The Green Boutique plant nursery on Bloomingdale in 1979. It grew from there and eventually turned into the home décor shop in Plaza Bella in 2006, filled with jewelry, clothes and other trinkets.
