Attention all job applicants: Walmart is now hiring up to 95 associates to work at the new Walmart Neighborhood Market slated to open this winter in Riverview. A temporary hiring center has opened in the Summerfield Shoppes at 11337 Big Bend Rd., Suite 11361.
According to Store Manager Dana Terry, the store will be hiring both full- and part-time associates.
“I am eager to meet potential applicants as we gear up to bring Riverview its second Walmart Neighborhood Market,” said Terry.
Applications are being accepted Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Interested applicants may also apply online at careers.walmart.com.
Walmart provides a benefits program to eligible full- and part-time associates such as a variety of affordable health and well-being benefits, including health-care coverage with no lifetime maximum. Walmart also offers eligible associates matching 401(k) contributions of up to six percent of pay, discounts on general merchandise, an Associate Stock Purchase Program and company-paid life insurance. Additionally, eligible associates receive a quarterly incentive based on store performance.
Through Walmart’s Veterans Welcome Home Commitment, the company will offer a job to any qualified veteran who has been honorably discharged within the past 12 months. The majority of new associates will begin work in December to help prepare the store for its grand opening.
The new Wamart Neighborhood Market is currently under construction in Riverview Bell Plaza on Big Bend Rd. between U.S. Hwy. 301 and Lincoln Rd.
