SparkppelJennifer and Paul Killian, owners of Spark Fitness in Lithia, realize that personal fitness is the key to success. The main focus of their business is to inspire and motivate clients to lead a healthy lifestyle through exercise. Spark Fitness provides highly trained professionals who share a passion for wellness and building personal relationships. It will help clients achieve their personal fitness goals whether it is in-home, in the Spark studio or via video conferencing; Spark is the future of fitness.

“Paul and I shared the dream of owning a studio and a passion for health and wellness,” Jennifer said.

Jennifer grew up a dancer and danced professionally with small regional ballet companies. Paul has been active in sports his whole life. He graduated from college with a Bachelor’s of science in exercise science. Shortly after graduation, he became a strength and conditioning specialist who started his own in-home private personal training company.  The couple opened Spark Fitness studio in September 2013.

“Our studio offers something for every demographic,” Jennifer said. “Whether you are an athlete who needs sports conditioning, a mom-to-be who wants to keep fit with Pilates, someone needing rehabilitation for an injury or just looking for a great way to stay in shape, Spark Fitness can accommodate.”

Paul works with athletes in various sports and he has a passion for cycling. He participates in community group rides in addition to local mountain bike races. He also trains and sponsors one of the top mountain bike riders in the state, Level Strahan.

“Paul and I have a tremendous amount of respect for one another’s area of expertise and we often collaborate on how to further accommodate our client’s needs,” Jennifer said. “Paul will be incorporating Pilates into his training programs for cyclists.”

Spark Fitness will be expanding its group class schedule in January. In addition to Pilates mat, Total Barre and Circuit classes, it will offer  Reformer classes.
