Staff Report
The Friends of the Riverview Library is currently engaged in helping to lay the groundwork for a new Riverview Library with state-of-the-art technology, expanded hours, increased staffing, meeting and study rooms and a larger multipurpose room designed to hold larger functions and community gatherings. It works with the library to plan programs, get volunteers helping staff to shelve books and other materials.
Publicity Chair Judy Sullivan said, “We hold used book sales to acquire funds to support Library programs, and operate an honor-system book store and at present are working hard to envision the new library for our area.”
Individuals who have some expertise can share in the fields of advertising, planning strategies or program development to help the Friends of the Riverview Library. It meets the third Tuesday of the month at 1 p.m. with membership costing $10. Membership forms are available in the library and in the book store in the front entrance lobby of the library
