Easter is a very special day for all Christians because it is the day that we all celebrate the miracle of Jesus’ resurrection. Resurrection is a big word, but it means that Jesus was able to do something that no one else can ever do – He actually rose from the dead and was walking and talking with his followers. This is why Christians call him “Our Savior.”
Being a Savior means that Jesus can save you from something. And if Jesus is the one and only Savior, then that means he can save us from something that no one else can – our sins.
Easter Sunday is the day that all Christians gather to remember and celebrate the day that Jesus rose from the dead and saved everyone’s sins so that each of us has an opportunity to believe in him and live forever in heaven.
Right before Easter, it seemed like a sad story, but when Jesus was resurrected, it became one of the greatest stories of all. Happy Easter!
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 (NIV)
