During the month of December, Center Place’s exhibit in the Mook Gallery is called Bold Vision, 2015 Fundraiser For The Arts. Guests can meet the artists who created unique works and purchase the artwork at an Artists’ Reception set for Thursday, December 17 from 5:30-7 p.m. at Center Place located at 619 Vonderburg Dr. in Brandon.

“Bold Vision is a fundraiser for Center Place supported by our local artistic community,” explained Executive Director of Center Place Dawn Galia.

Local artists have been busy creating artwork on 10 x 10 canvases, and these unique works of art have been donated to Center Place. On Thursday, December 17 the community can purchase them for $25. All proceed will benefit Center Place and its many programs.

“Helping with this event is a great way for artists and the community alike to help raise much needed funds for Center Place,” said Galia.

In addition to buying art and meeting the artists, attendees will be able to enjoy wine, appetizers and desserts.

Bold Vision is a great opportunity to find a perfect and unique holiday gift for that hard to buy for individual. Original artwork is an investment, and in this case, it is an investment in a fine local organization.

Since 1976 Center Place, a non-profit organization, has been promoting fine arts and civic involvement. Center Place offers cultural enrichment to the entire community through fine arts exhibits, education and performing arts.

One of the things that sets Center Place apart from others is the free children’s theatre that it offers throughout the school year. This allows children to see live theatre. Some of the children who attend the live theatre come from Title 1 schools and might not otherwise be able to attend the theatre. This type of event is made possible thanks to the generosity of the community in supporting Center Place and its mission.
