FishHawk Pinch-A-Penny will hold its Sixth Annual Big Green Egg Fest on Saturday, March 19 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. This fun filled event is hosted by the Rutledge family, Larry, Kathy and Jimmy, the owners and operators of the FishHawk Pinch-A-Penny located at 16715 FishHawk Blvd. in the Winn Dixie Plaza.
The Sixth Annual Big Green Egg Fest is a chance for guests to see the magic of the Big Green Egg and try some of the delectable foods that “Eggheads” like Jimmy will be preparing right in the parking lot. Guests will get to taste delicious appetizers and tasty foods such as chicken, ribs and sausages.
This year’s Egg Fest is not only a fun party showcasing the Big Green Egg, but it is also an opportunity for the community to come together and help get Newsome High School’s Marching Band to New York City to participate in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Larry Rutledge explained why they are supporting the band’s efforts to raise the funds necessary to make the historic trip.
“When a community’s local high school marching band is invited to participate in an event as large as the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, it is not only a big deal for the students and the school, but also for the community as a whole. This event will put FishHawk on the map,” Larry said. “I hope that the community will come out to our Sixth Annual Big Green Egg Fest to not only see the Big Green Egg in action, but also to support the band.”
Members of the Newsome High School Marching Band will be on hand to participate in the celebration.
