Following its vision “to be the best choice for healthcare in our community,” Florida Medical Clinic recently opened a new 24,000-sq.-ft multi-specialty campus in the building that used to house Border’s bookstore in Brandon.
“The new facility will provide many patient services including diagnostic lab and radiology services. Our specialties include family medicine, allergy, asthma and immunology, cardiology, gastroenterology, interventional pain management, orthopaedics, otolaryngology and pulmonology and sleep disorders and urology,” said Florida Medical Clinic’s Administrative/Marketing Assistant Heather Eramo.
While preventative care to help keep its patients healthy is key, primary care services include physical exams, urgent care appointments for non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses, cancer screenings, minor surgical procedures, routine gynecology and dermatology services and ongoing management of chronic conditions such as diabetes and osteoporosis.
While specializing in a comprehensive range of healthcare services representing 35 primary care and specialty disciplines, Florida Medical Clinic’s clinically integrated network streamlines all aspects of healthcare. Owned by 300 of the area’s leading doctors, there are 51 locations that serve more than 3,000 patients per day from infants to seniors.
In south Hillsborough, in addition to the new multi-specialty campus located at 2020 Town Center Blvd., Florida Medical Clinic has a behavioral health facility on Oakfield Drive in Brandon and two locations in Riverview, on U.S. Hwy. 301 and in Winthrop.
“In order to make things easier for our patients and doctors, we offer online appointment requests 24 hours a day, seven days a week; as well as access to our secure patient portal and electronic health records,” said Eramo.
Office hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday for most areas of practice while Family Medicine and Auto Accident Care office hours are 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday 8 a.m.-1 p.m. New patients are being accepted.
