Rick Lewis was recently selected as the new President and CEO of the Brandon Chamber of Commerce. A Boynton Beach native, Lewis has a long history serving on the Brandon Chamber of Commerce as well as seven local nonprofits.
“Supporting my community and the businesses that serve that community has always been at the core of everything I do,” said Lewis. “I will bring that commitment to my work in the Chamber, and together with our members, I know we can do anything we set our minds to.”
Lewis is committed to focusing on the Chamber’s mission of being a member-driven organization. He and the Board feel that focusing exclusively on what the members want to achieve for their businesses and the community is their mission.
“I’m very excited about him leading us, said Bonnie Tekampe, a current chamber member. “He is just a take charge kind of guy.”
Lewis confirmed that every decision made will be made with the consideration of if and how it affects the Chamber members. He noted that for the last several months, he had been interviewing Chamber members in order to get new insights and to create the best possible plan for Brandon.

With over 20 years of experience, Lewis is no stranger to leading. Previously, he served as a Division Vice President for Wachovia. He was responsible for the Florida West Coast Division for 13 years. Now, Lewis is focused on his new community in Brandon, and hopes to lead the city to growth.
“He is a man of values, he goes above and beyond,” said Dianna Vannatta, a member of the Leadership Brandon class.
Lewis and his wife Edie have been married for 28 years.
They have two sons together, a 16-year-old named Jake and Dylan, who is 13.
