But what if you’re not quite sure what to do to help your pet live its happiest, healthiest life? Turn to Kim’s Natural Pet Foods.
Kim Albright and her family own and operate Kim’s Natural Pet Foods, the only pet supply store to offer entirely holistic items in the Brandon/Valrico area. It’s unique because they are not a franchise; Albright wants to maintain that personal touch that is so important. As a pet owner herself she said, “I won’t sell it if I won’t feed it myself.” Their pet foods contain real ingredients, like meat, fish, and vegetables, never byproducts. They are also corn, wheat, soy, and gluten free.
Spend five minutes in the store, and you’ll be glad you did. Albright seeks to match your pet’s food to his or her specific health needs. She takes the time to understand the history of your pet, so she can make recommendations based on whether you have a critter with a sensitive stomach, a breed sensitive to hip and joint irritation, or an animal with an appetite in need of weight control. She is knowledgeable about allergies, diabetic care, and a plethora of other pet needs.
“I just love it,” she said. “I try to find foods in order to specialize for my customers’ needs.” On top of that, Albright buys 100 percent U.S. produced pet foods, mostly from companies that are family owned and operated themselves. She is passionate about quality and refuses to sell products from companies who have issued recalls.
Want to know the best time to stop by? The first Saturday of every month, Albright hosts a shot clinic from 2-3 p.m. where pet owners can purchase low-cost vaccinations and/or preventative medicines, like heartworm and flea treatments, at cost. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is closed on Sundays.
