Leung earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pennsylvania. While attending dental school, Leung chose to do a rotation at a special needs clinic where she saw various types of patients every week.

In addition, Leung mentions how Oakfield Dental utilizes numerous methods to make it a comfortable environment to all patients. For instance, an apron that gets placed during an x-ray remains on an autistic patient throughout the entire appointment because it portrays as a safety blanket on them. Another method would be providing them with free earbuds or using colorful nonthreatening tools and more.
“I enjoy working with kids and it all started before dental school,” Leung said.
