Center Place will kick off the holiday season with Christmas Card Lane beginning on Saturday, November 10 and running through the New Year. Life-size holiday cards, created by area businesses and organizations, will line the streets around Center Place (specifically along South Parsons Ave. and around Clayton Lake).
Lisa Rodriguez, Marketing Director for Center Place said, “We received great feedback from last year’s Christmas Card Lane. Some people said things like ‘Wow! What a great art project for the holidays’ or ‘It gives our community a festive look.’” Rodriguez added, “This year we hope to have many more people participate. It is open to businesses, service clubs, organizations, school groups and families.” Rodriguez said, “It is a wonderful way to show your love of community and wish everyone a Happy Holiday.”
To create a card, please call Center Place at 685-8888 or visit www.center-placebrandon.org. The entry fee is $25 per card. The deadline to enter is Monday, November 5.
Delivery and set up is on either Thursday, November 8 or Friday, November 9. This is a great opportunity for business-es, local non-profits, service groups and other organizations to highlight their business or organization by participating in Christmas Card Lane.
To kick off Christmas Card Lane, Center Place will host a Holiday Paint Party on Saturday, November 10 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tickets are $20. This event is good for everyone including children six and older. Children must be accompanied by a paid adult.
“We will be painting a Winter Snowman on canvas. Leading this paint party will be one of Center Place’s instructors, Jennie Sikora-Muehl. Space is limited so get your tickets early,” said Rodriguez. “Everyone will go home with a masterpiece,” added Rodriguez.
